We realize that every dog has special conditions that will help it achieve its highest level of obedience. It is with this in mind that we offer in-home dog training. We encourage training dogs in their own environments, environments they misbehave in or in situations where their behavior leaves much to be desired.

We now offer Basic Canine Nutrition education and training! Click here to learn more.

Basic Training (or Obedience training) is one of the best things that you can do for you and your dog. It is the foundation for solving most problems you may have with your dog.  Basic training is the way of opening up a line of communication between you and your dog. Behavior problems can be transformed into ways that are acceptable through this training.  You and your dog will learn the tones of your voice for commands, praise and reprimands: heel (walk), sit, automatic sit, stay, come, down and O.K. (release command).

"Heel" will teach your dog not to pull. "Stay" will teach your dog not to run out the door when you open it. "Sit" will teach your dog that company is not something to jump on. "Down" will teach them that when dinner is served you are not playing a game of 'chase me and the food bowl.' Praise is for a job well done. If your dog yawns when you teach him/her a command they are learning.

House Training will help with the following things:

Potty Times - when waking up from a nap, playing or chewing,
eating or drinking and after a long walk.

Signs that your dog has to go potty:

  • Pacing
  • Sniffing
  • Whining
  • Circling
  • Staring
  • Wandering to other rooms

Keep your dog on a schedule, walking and eating around the same time.

Training sessions usually last 1 to 2 hours. Pricing for training varies based on the needs of the dog and area in which the dog is located.
